Following the successful launch of Field Trip, Andrew McWhae is launching his second generative art collection, Block Party.
The collection features a diverse array of abstract compositions that are created by arranging and manipulating blocks of different shapes, sizes, and colors. The artworks in Block Party showcase McWhae’s mastery of generative coding, demonstrating his ability to create intricate patterns and structures that are both visually striking and conceptually rich.
Through his use of blocks, McWhae explores the relationship between form, color, and space, creating art that is both visually captivating and intellectually stimulating. Block Party is a must-see collection for anyone interested in the intersection of art, design, and technology.
Holders of Field Trip gain automatic whitelist, while holders of 2+ Field Trips will receive an airdrop of free mint tokens. WL spaces will be available through select collaborations with other projects.
By holding multiple Field Trips at the time of the snapshot (18 Feb)
Holders will be airdropped a free mint pass (or multiple) in the week following the snapshot. Yes – holders will have access to the WL mint 30 minutes before the remainder of the WL.
No – it is an oversubscribed WL. The only way to guarantee a mint is through the free mint or through holding a Field Trip.
The amount it is oversupplied by is unknown as it will depends on the free mints claimed in Phase 1 of the mint.
Field Trip is Andrew McWhae’s Genesis generative art collection which launched in November 2022. It comprises brightly colored shapes arranged in lively patterns and encourages the viewer to visually experience the sensation of childlike wonder.
At its core it is a collision-avoidance algorithm that places lines which are then drawn using stylized geometry. Every output is a different style or color palette; no two are simply different seeds.
The project has been a major success and attracted significant interest from a vast range of generative art collectors.
As a Genesis collection, Field Trip will remain a key to Andrew’s future collections including his second collection, Block Party, which is launching in March 2023.
